Breaking down the real estate headlines and MLS stats so you, the local homeowner, can stay informed on what matters to our hyper-local Glastonbury market.

Glastonbury's single-family home update:
There are only 12 available homes on the market in Glastonbury.  2 of those are under review with the seller and may go under contract. That would mean we really have just 10 houses for sale!!

Thinking of selling soon?

Step 1. Declutter like a pro! Donate, pack, or toss unused items. Spacious rooms and closets = bigger $$ offers.  Realtors are a great resource for places to donate to or connecting you to auction type options.  A local Realtor is hands down the best go-to source for sourcing local contractors too!

Step 2. Paint! Opt for warm tones with Balboa Mist (Benjamin Moore) if your floors, trim, and cabinets are warm. For cooler palettes, try Touch of Grey or White Sand (Sherwin Williams). Remember, neutral colors = wider buyer appeal = faster sale!

Pro-tip:
A local inspector's pro-tip: service, clean, and tune up your home's mechanicals (HVAC, etc.) before listing. This saves time and stress when buyer inspections roll around.

I second that! I advise clients to do the same, and even show proof to potential buyers by attaching the receipts etc to the disclosures. This transparency can build trust and potentially reduce the need for a full inspection, saving everyone time and money. Remember, well-maintained mechanics = a happier sale!
